This program will be offered in English.

Do you know what the “Super Tuesday” elections in America are? On Super Tuesday (March 1), 14 states across America will vote for presidential nominees. After Super Tuesday, there will be only two leading presidential candidates. African-American voters will play a key role in determining the outcome of these elections. What are the issues that African-American voters care most about?

In honor of Black History Month, when Americans celebrate the achievements of African-Americans, the Beijing American Center invites you to a presentation about the role of African-Americans in the U.S. electoral process. Presidential candidates all try to win the majority of votes from African-Americans. After the presentation, you will have a better understanding of African-American voters and the issues they care about, and also how different populations in the U.S. with conflicting interests have used protest and voting to affect social and political change.
This program is not suitable for children under 6.
