Job Description
Grainstone Lee is a research driven global recruitment firm servicing the trading, technology and big data community. We were founded in 2013 to provide a high quality recruitment process for a small collection of hedge funds, banks and prop trading firms. Our core focus is within quantitative and electronic trading (entry level PhD up to Portfolio Manager or Head of desk) and our clients are distributed globally across US, Europe and Asia. We utilise advertising however our approach is mostly search based.
We are also rapidly growing a China practice that works with mainland Chinese banks and funds to build their investment and trading teams by repatriating Chinese finance professionals from Europe and US. We also work with our Western clients seeking to build their China operations.

We hope to find a Mandarin experience, that shares our values and can help us deliver our vision. The role would be based in our head office, Great Guildford Street, London SE1.
Duties And Responsibilities
Uploading, coding and translating Chinese cv's into our recruitment database, File finder
Identify Mandarin speaking candidates for specific search assignments
Initial screening of candidates identified in search process in Mandarin and prepare notes in English
Collating and summarising market intelligence and news within Chinese financial services
Owning and managing recruitment database, ensuring records are accurate and updated with market intelligence
Maintaining company advertising on job portals in UK and China
General office admin
Required Qualification
Master’s Degree from a recognised UK Higher Education Institution ideally in translation or finance
Desired Experience
Recruitment or sales experience in a multinational environment
Technical translation / journalism on financial markets
Required Skills
Full professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Good level of communication: strong written and verbal communication skills
Bright and switched on: you must be able to understand the complexities of financial markets
Detail orientated: you must be able to assimilate and distil data to capture the key points
Tenacious: you should have a thick skin and never give up attitude
Desired Requirements
Knowledge of Chinese customs and culture
Additional language: Cantonese, French or Russian
Anaccurate and adaptable writing style
