Core Responsibilities

• Lead client audit engagements (planning, directing and completion of audits)

• Supervise small teams

• Research and analyse financial statements and audit related issues

• Produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations

• Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business

• Obtain a thorough understanding of HAT methodology

• Monitor the progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met

• Sign off audit sections, address any issues and complete files before passing on to relevant managers

• Draft client letters

• Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements

Essential Skill And Experience

• ACA / ACCA qualified with a demonstrable track record of audit experience in an accountancy practice

• Fluent Mandarin (written & verbal)

• Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, corporation tax, VAT and P11Ds

• Working knowledge of integrated accounts production and paperless audit software

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments with multiple clients within time constraints and deadlines

• Demonstrable experience of supervising other and delegation of work

• Confident project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Desirable

• Knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH

• Working knowledge of HAT audit methodology
