Role Description

You will take the lead on client programmes by proactively managing the development of campaigns, providing an experienced level of consultancy to the client and team, and developing quarterly planning and measurement. You'll have a solid understanding of the public relations campaign from development to consultancy to budgeting. You will also ensure the campaign teams are on track in terms of measurable goals. With guidance from the senior team on planning and strategy development, the onus is on you to push the campaign to achieve results and team development.



Specifics

The successful applicant will need the following skills and experience:

  • Able to fluently communicate in English, Mandarin and Cantonese

  • Strong translation skills - Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English

  • Able to demonstrate solid PR agency experience at a Senior Client Manager or Client Director level with a global technology client

  • Proven knowledge of B2B technology, consumer technology and business technology media and industry analysts

  • Client support experience at large events i.e. CES Las Vegas, MWC Barcelona, IFA Berlin

  • Experience with media familiarisation tours to/in China

  • Knowledge of semiconductor, smartphone and wearables sectors

  • 2nd class or higher university degree



Overall Key Areas Of Responsibility Include
  • Acts as one of the key contacts on campaigns, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of a client’s business and market by providing a senior level of consultancy on issues that affect the client’s value proposition and key messages

  • Recommends updates to campaign strategies based on business and market changes

  • Contributes to the development of quarterly PR plans, recommendations and measurement, according to the Racepoint Global best practice templates

  • Contributes to the setting of campaign objectives with the Client Director, and ensures that these are effectively communicated to the team. Hold regular review meetings to ensure they are met

  • Takes responsibility for the day-to-day management of relevant members of the team, including the management and tracking of time against budget and training the team to plan and prioritise

  • Contributes to the development of six monthly professional objectives for team members including recommendations on training, timelines and review processes

  • Supports the achievement of growth targets on existing client accounts and ensures existing revenue streams are maintained

  • Designs and/or contributes to training sessions for clients and teams

  • Identifies opportunities for cross-selling Racepoint Global services to new and existing clients

  • Demonstrates excellent understand of and relationships with press, analysts and industry bloggers

  • Ensures the wider team is well connected to influencers - sets networking targets and ensure breadth of contacts

  • Works with the team to maintain an up-to-date list of websites, blogs, e-communities, forums, and other social media in order to look for relevant client opportunities

  • Creates profiles, chooses appropriate content such as bulletins, video, blog posts, pictures, discussions and maintain constant activity on social network pages

  • Ensures writing skills are first class and demonstrates this by developing strategic materials including white papers, quarterly plans, contributions to new business proposals, creative ideas summaries, website and blog content

  • Develops, or contributes to the development of, pitches in response to new business briefs

  • Actively encourages relationship building with Racepoint US and Asia colleagues; leads, or participates in, global calls with colleagues to foster a collaborative, creative, proactive working environment
