We have an exciting opportunity for a marketer with experience in marketing UK & Chinese based products or property to join our growing company.

Greystar is a market leading fully integrated real estate company offering expertise in investment, development, and property management of multifamily residential properties globally. The UK business is rapidly growing, providing exceptional student accommodation through our Chapter platform, as well as an expanding portfolio of Multifamily Private Rental properties.

Within this new role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical marketing plans specifically targeted to potential customers in and from China;  that drive occupancy and leads the to achieve optimum leasing and financial performance in line with Company’s business development plans. Due to the range of different products and brands, you’ll work across a number of different portfolios and projects including multifamily residential, student accommodation and corporate marketing and across a range of target groups from students looking to study and live in the UK to professionals in Canary Wharf.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Developing a marketing presence in China specific to each Greystar portfolio brands

• Developing and maintaining links and communications with relevant groups and associations in China and the UK

• Working with the Marketing Director to set and deliver the annual marketing strategies for the company across student and multifamily; and delivers set campaigns and brandled projects

• Working closely with the other marketing managers to determine opportunities for each portfolio, requirements and budgets for targeting their market directly

• Working with external design agencies to deliver marketing materials that meet brand guidelines (email campaigns, banners, adverts, flyers etc.) and appeal to the specific target markets

• Providing regular reports on project performance and ROI and working in partnership with the sales team to deliver highly effective campaigns maximising ROI and brand recognition

• Delivering innovative and creative resident retention and resident acquisition campaigns for the student portfolio (Chapter)

• Taking an active interest in the business continually thinking of new ways to build upon the success of campaigns

• This role will also be the lead marketer on international marketing activity in the Chinese market

• This role would be ideal for a business focused marketer who enjoys working across a wide variety of marketing channels in an entrepreneurial environment

Essential Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Fluency in English and Mandarin

• Education to degree level (or equivalent) ideally with a marketing or advertising focus; or by equivalent experience

• A proven track record in creating successful marketing plans and campaigns targeting prospects in China

• Workable knowledge of marketing via Baidu and popular Chinese social media and content channels including, WeChat, Weibo and Douban

• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and Mandarin); including the ability to effectively write and present reports and information to support strategic business decisions

• Great eye for detail with creative flair and confidence to critique own work and others

• IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft packages including PowerPoint (Advanced level) and Excel (Advanced level)

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

• Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines

• A strong problem solver with an inquisitive nature and the ability to understand the bigger picture

• A positive team player, with an adaptable and flexible approach along with ability to work collaboratively to drive results and support the wider team and business objectives

• A passion for marketing and the delivery of exceptional customer service

Desirable

• Experience or interest working within the property, hospitality, retail or leisure sectors

• Experience with Google Analytics and other relevant tools for measuring campaign success
