#American TV Programs# - I love Lucy.  

I Love Lucy is an American television sitcom starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, and William Frawley. The black-and-white series originally ran from October 15, 1951, to May 6, 1957, on CBS. 

After the series ended in 1957, however, it continued to run in a modified one-hour special, and continues to be an important show for young Americans over 60 years later! 

Desi and Lucille were married in real life and are credited with being America’s first interracial couple, as well as the standard for 1950s American families.
