The Opportunity

Sybarite Architects work primarily in luxury retail design at all scales fromstand-alone boutiques to very large department stores & hotels. Our work is international and we always have several projects in multiple cities running simultaneously.  We have a lot of work in China and therefore the need for designers fluent in Chinese is essential to the business.

 

We are seeking a talented Chinese-speaking architect or designer with experience in the luxury retail design sector to join our growing team in our brand new West London studios.

Details Of Duties

• Conceptual Design for luxury retail interior projects

• Producing hand sketches of preliminary design options

• Presenting concept design work to team leaders

• 2D Detail Design within retail environments, including base interiors and furniture

• Preparing construction drawing packages / translating of drawings into Chinese

• 3D Modelling of interior designs in Rhino 3D

• Creating computer generated renderings with V-Ray software following company brand guidelines, producing both photo realistic images and pictorial diagrams

• Checking of shop drawings (by others)

• Sourcing material samples for use in designs – adding to our expanding in-office material library

• Sourcing fixtures from suppliers in Europe and Asia for project implementation

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Strict Criteria Below

• Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)

• Fluent in English

• Proven luxury Retail design experience

• Advanced AutoCAD (2D) user

• Advanced Rhino (3D) user

• Current working VISA for the UK

• Have relevant working experience in China

• Have undergraduate degree level or above qualification
