Profile

An ambitious, versatile, and enthusiastic Production Planner / Buyer with experience of buying and dealing with suppliers ideally from the printing or manufacturing industry is required to join the growing Operations team at Winning Moves, one of the UK's most progressive, award winning toy and games companies.

Reporting to the Senior Production Planner, the Production Planner / Buyer will be responsible for placing orders with suppliers for product, components, and services. Orders will need to be tracked from placement through to completion.This position would suit applicants with experience of working under pressure and dealing with high volumes of orders. High service levels are important along with excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Receive Sales Order demands

• Receive and Check internal product specs, prior to placing orders

• Generation & placement of purchase orders for global business units

• Manage transactional buying process

• Managing day to day relationship with suppliers

• Manage changes in demand & PO volume variations

• Confirm production schedules

• Working with internal teams to ensure on time deliveries

• Raise Goods Received Notes on system

• Checking and processing of supplier Invoices

• Working with SQE, to deal with any product quality issues

• Liaise and communicate with internal departments

Skills And Experiences

• 3 -5 year experience in a busy office environment

• Experience of working within a busy FMCG global buying department

• Excellent Attention to Detail

• Strong Communication Skills (oral and written)

• Intermediate to Advanced level Excel Skills

• Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise a busy workload and be well organised

• Experience of working with Sage 200 (Desirable)

• Experience of receiving stock and working with Bill Of Material's would be an advantage (Desirable)

• Experience of vendor sourcing and negotiation (Desirable)

• CIPS Qualified or working towards (Desirable)

• Educated to A level standards (grades A - C)

• 2nd European language and/or Mandarin (Desirable)

• Positive and "can do" attitude
