The Opportunity

GWR is seeking a talented Paralegal who speaks fluent Mandarin to support the Legal & Business Affairs department, primarily in a wide range of corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters relating to GWR’s business in the UK, and its overseas offices – principally Beijing, but also Tokyo, New York and Dubai.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Support the Legal & Business Affairs department in all areas of business 

• Instigate formal Cease & Desist procedures for intellectual property infringement, primarily in China 

• Liaise with Chinese counsel and regulatory bodies as necessary 

• Review and draft contracts across all business departments and offices

The Ideal Candidate Will Be Able To Demonstrate The Following

• Mandarin-Speaking

• Part Legal Practice qualification

• Knowledge, experience and interest in intellectual property, as well as the publishing, creative and media sectors

• Japanese-Speaking (Desirable)
