As a Purchasing Manager for iSmash you will be responsible for delivering best value procurement solutions at least cost to the business whilst working to agreed financial targets in line with the procurement strategy and plan.
You will be responsible for all procurement and scheduling of the company’s orders from forecast to implementing best practice in order to develop an effective and sustainable international purchasing function. Working alongside the Supply Chain Manager there is potential for the role to grow with the right candidate.
- To ensure that all orders are created in line with the current business levels of the company
- To ensure all daily / weekly orders are processed in full and on time
- Consolidating the current supply base
- Managing ongoing relationships with all suppliers
- Sourcing new and innovative suppliers
- Perform a regular review of the supplier base
- Negotiate and manage accounts with suppliers in line with the company’s purchasing policy
- Ensure that all pricing is competitive with current market prices
- Assist in planning new all new purchases
- Manage delivery times so that they coincide with the needs of the company
- Reduce costs without compromising service and quality levels
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks in conjunction with the demands of the business
- Planning stock ranges suppliers, negotiating pricing on all stock
- Having a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the purchasing contributes to these
- Producing regular reports and statistics on a monthly basis
- Driving gross profit margin through buying, selection, negotiation
- Visiting and auditing current and new suppliers as required
- Undertake procurement related projects on and ad-hoc basis as required
- Mandarin and English language skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office – especially Excel
- 3 years of Supply Chain/Warehouse Management/Stock purchasing experience
- Ideally 3 Stock purchasing experience
- Full appreciation and understanding of the end to end supply chain to ensure suppliers meet requirements
- Commercially aware with business acumen and able to achieve cost benefits
- Quantitative and analytical skills, excellent documentation and oral communication skills

- Highly numerical
- With sufficient notice you may be expected to travel for company business
