Job Purpose:


The RDI department of Marsh & Parsons has grown from strength to strength and won a significant number of New Homes instructions to date. The New Homes team is now growing to deliver the new business we have won and to look ahead to secure new business in support of the consultancy team. We are looking for an energetic self-starter, who strives to be at the top of their game. This is an opportunity to build a fast-growing business, both in London and abroad - and be rewarded along the way.


Key Responsibilities:


Relationship management and business development


  • Takes the lead in managing accounts where the developer, investor or customer’s native language is Mandarin

  • Takes the lead on business development and sales activities in Asian markets. Mainland China is a key focus.

  • Identify and secure New Homes instructions building relationships with developers and other customers.

  • Liaises with other senior staff to determine and agree which opportunities would be pursued.

  • Working with the marketing team develops marketing campaigns to support New Homes activities and monitors the effectiveness of these activities.

  • Support the New Homes Director in the provision of market updates to vendors via the provision of weekly reports on developments (updates include where leads are coming from, number of viewings etc).

  • Use innovative techniques to identify and source an applicant database to lead to a sale of a New Homes property.

  • Good understanding of the requirements of international investor demand, ensuring that consultancy provided reflects current and emerging preferences and trends.

  • Keeps up to date with products and competitors.

  • Produces and assesses reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management.

  • Provide input into formulating pitches & presentations to clients to support the development consultancy team in securing new business.

  • Other

  • Consistently meeting and exceeding financial targets for New Homes sales.

  • Thoroughly utilise the existing Company RPS database to source and canvass applicants that are already registered and identifying profiles for buyers that may be interested in a New Homes property.

  • Book diary daily with viewing appointments for New Homes properties, and conduct effective viewings.

  • Ensure front office M&P negotiators know the New Homes properties intimately and include them in their viewing tours with appropriate buyers. Be confident in briefing relevant front offices of new instructions in or near their region.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the New Homes market across London

  • Assists in the development of less experienced members of the New Homes sales team


Key Skills and Experience


  • Sound experience of New Homes Market

  • A proficiency selling New Homes in to an international customer base, ideally demonstrating proficiency of Asian markets. Mainland China is a key focus.

  • Proven record of working on large scale development and projects.

  • Good language skills – Mandarin speaker a priority

  • Attention to detail

  • Proven strong business development and sales track record

  • Able to work one their own and in a team environment.

  • Ability to produce high quality reports within prescribed timescales

  • Process high volumes of work accurately yet to deadline

  • Customer Service skills

  • Fully IT literate and able to use the following applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Able to network and assist in building a growing business.

  • Degree level education
