This program will be offered in English.
When we think about fighting climate change, we have to talk about the U.S. and China because they are the two largest emitters of carbon dioxide in the world. Together, the U.S. and China account for almost half of the world’s annual CO2 output. In the last 15 months, China and the U.S. have made a series of groundbreaking announcements and commitments to combat climate change.
Please join us at the Beijing American Center, where an Environment, Science and Technology Officer from the U.S. Embassy will discuss international efforts to combat climate change in the last twenty years since the Kyoto Protocol, and explain how the U.S. and China have cooperated to address climate change.
RSVP is required for this event. Please RSVP to [email protected] with your full name and subject “Climate Change.” RSVP deadline is December 7, 10:00am. This program is not suitable for children under 8.

You must bring a valid photo ID in order to get into our Center. No large bags will be allowed into the Beijing American Center (BAC) for this event.
