阿德莱德国际机场的工作人员于 周一 举行了为期 24小时 的大罢工，乘坐国际航班的乘客们在办理出入关手续的时候遇到大规模的延误。

墨尔本机场罢工

悉尼、布里斯本、珀斯、阿德莱德、达尔文、凯恩斯以及黄金海岸机场的移民部和边境保护署工作人员都举行了罢工。悉尼、珀斯和凯恩斯机场都出现了显著的延误。

据道称，机场方面向乘客们发布了警告，宣称由于移民部和海关人员的罢工，出入关的办理速度减缓，请乘客们做好准备。

第一轮罢工除了机场有罢工行为以外，其它政府公共事务部门福利署（Centrelink）和国民医保（Medicare），以及12个其它联邦政府的机构加入大罢工。

其中包括： Medicare, Centrelink, the Tax Office, Defence, the Bureau of Meteorology, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Bureau of Statistics，罢工时长为24小时。

这将导致老年抚恤金的老年澳人，以及其它福利金的领取者，国民医保服务的使用者受到影响。以上公共服务部门员工的罢工主要原因在于政府对于该行业的薪酬采取了连续两年的冻薪政策。

The Australian Public Service's main workplace union, the CPSU，称此次罢工将会对 Medicare 和 Centrelink 的使用者有影响。

接下来工作在国际机场的 Immigration, Border Protection and Agriculture 工作人员将会在3月24日（good friday 前一天）进行24小时罢工。

阿德莱德机场将在后续的两周内进行时段性罢工，罢工时间如下：
