Reporting to the Trading Leader, and being supported and mentored by the Trading Leads and other team members, the Energy Graduate/Physical Market Trainee Trader will undergo a 6 month training program within Physical Markets, gaining exposure to the wider Energy Trading function, and at completion aim to be a Physical Market Trader in the continually evolving energy spot market operations.


Skills& Experience required:


Tertiary qualifications in a numeric discipline Engineering, Science, Finance or Economics (Please provide subject grades or copy of your in your Resume, as we are requiring )

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, with proven advanced Excel skills

Working experience preferred, not essential

A particular interest in learning and developing within the Australian Energy Markets during a pivotal transitional phase

Conceptual thinker and able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances a key feature of the dynamic wholesale energy markets

Strong team ethos but ability to work autonomously

We are currently looking to recruit a graduate to join our Melbourne office in the role of Foreign Exchange Officer.

Reconciling bank accounts and positions for FX Spot, FX Forward, FX Option and Dual Currency Deposit transactions and investigating all discrepancies

FX trade settlements with both clients and banks, confirming settlement figures, assessing client settlement requirements and processing payments

Reviewing daily risk reports ensuring requirements are met and appropriate approvals are in place

Reviewing reports to identify outstanding funds

Preparation of FX Option and DCD confirmations

Uploading exchange and volatility rates to internal system

Checking trade details between in-house system, banks and confirmations

Reviewing account opening forms to ensure all AML and documentation requirements are fulfilled.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines

The Admissions Officer is responsible for providing accurate and timely advice on admissions processes and activities to internal and external customers. The Officer provides high level administrative and operational support for key activities including the collection, recording and maintenance of offered programs for each Admissions period, and the management of the communication and correspondence with applicants. The Admissions Officer will also be responsible for assessing RMIT equity applications and the processing of credit transfers.


Skills& Experience required:

You will have demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality student administration services, including sound knowledge of relevant University policies and procedures and demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations. Furthermore you will have excellent communication skills, including skills in persuasion, information exchange, gaining assistance and in perceptively assisting staff to manage workloads, timeline and relationships and proven initiative and problem-solving skills and your ability to work independently to quickly extract the priority issue and take action without specific direction where appropriate will be essential to your success in this role.
