Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Liaise with and report to the principal on key issues on the College projects
- Analyse international market opportunities and explore new courses or products to develop new opportunities for the College
- Propose and/or undertake appropriate market research to identify sectors and market segments with requirements that can be met with by the College
- Advise on and analyse sales figures and propose budget to the Principal for approval and assist with the overall financial planning process
- Manage and lead support and junior staff
- Keep up-to-date with key issues and developments in the sector and those of the competitors and advise on pricing strategy
- Develop strategic alliances and research with external organisations that will benefit the College in financial, educational and social terms
- Liaise with colleagues across the College to assist the development of good practice in business development
- Build a rapport and long term relationship with our external networking organisations, international clients and the College’s academic community
- Actively seek to implement the College’s policies in relation to the duties of the post
Qualification
- A degree or equivalent in a relative field
Skills
- Strong commercial awareness and judgment
- Effective communicator, with excellent influencing and negotiating skills
- Able to build and maintain key international client relationships
- A high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution
- Ability to prioritise and balance short-term demands with long-term strategy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to recognise potential risks and take action to address before they are realised; comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
- Clear and compelling communicator
- Builds strong relationships with colleagues and able to influence in a professional and mature way
- Leverages network across the business to deliver results
- Ability to communicate in Chinese is an advantage
