在幸存者中，真人游戏节目参赛者都置身于荒野，他们在那里通过逐步淘汰或“挑战”和部落投票的赛制，争夺现金和其他奖品，最终争夺“唯一幸存者”的称号。

Reality TV programs have surged in popularity in the United States and now have a regular place among American TV genres.  The Survivor TV program originally aired on CBS in 2000 is now it it’s 32 season (two seasons per year).  

In Survivor, the reality game show contestants are placed in isolated wilderness locations, where they compete for cash and other prizes, and ultimately for the title of “Sole Survivor” through a system of progressive eliminations or “challenges” and tribal voting.  

Like Survivor, The Bachelor is an American reality television show based on a dating game that debuted in 2002 on ABC. The show revolves around a single bachelor who starts with a pool of romantic interests from whom he is expected to select a wife.  

The bachelor eliminates candidates, proposing marriage to his final selection, as the participants travel to romantic or exotic locations for adventures. The show's success has resulted in several spin-offs including The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, and Bachelor in Paradise.
