到了威尔士的小伙伴们,要听懂Wales当地人在说什么实在是太重要了,来看看他们经常说的那些话都是在表达什么吧。。话说“I’ll be there now in a minute.”这话各地都通用吧?说这话的人一般一时半会儿都到不了。。


1.   “All right?”– Hello. 你好吖

2.   “All right, butt?”– Hello, friend. 盆友,你好吖

3.   “He’s a bit of a character.”– He’s a total dick. 他就是个混蛋。。

4.   “He’s a little chopsy sometimes.”– This person is a rudearsehole who needs to learn to keep his goddamn mouth shut. 这个人说话太粗鲁,应该学会闭上自己的臭嘴。

5.   “He knocks about with a funny crowd.”– He’s friends with a bunch of dicks. 他的盆友有些不正经。
6.   “Where you to?”– Where the hell are you? 你特么到底在哪儿?

7.   “I’m not going to lie to you.”– I’m about to be brutally honest. 我要说大实话了。

8.   “I’m only saying.”– Yes, that was brutallyhonest, but it 100% had to be said. 嗯,虽然有些实话听起来很残忍,但又不得不说。

9.   “No word of a lie.”– I’m being as sincere as humanlypossible. 我尽可能真诚一点儿。
10.“I’ll be there now in a minute.”– I’ll be there at some completely unspecified time in the future. 我还不确定什么时候能到。

11.“I’ll be there now in a minute, just catchingthe bus.”– I’ll be there at some completely unspecified time in the far, farfuture. 我非常不确定什么时候能到。

12.“I’ll be there now in a minute, just catchingan Arriva train.”– I may not get there at all. 我可能到不了了。

13.“Thanks, drive.”– Thank you for getting me to where I needed to bewithout crashing, driver of this bus. 公交司机,谢谢你在我崩溃之前把我送到目的地。

14.“It’s a bit cold out.”– It’s freezing outside but I’m still going to goout in just a T-shirt. 外面很冷,但我还是要穿T恤出去。
15.“It’s picking with rain.”– It’s absolutely fucking pouring down. 外面绝逼是倾盆大雨。

16.“I’m not being funny.”– What I’m about to say is completely serious. 我要说的话都是认真的。

17.“It’s in the cwtch dan star.”– I have no idea wherethis item you’re looking for is, but it’s probably in the cupboard full of trash under the stairs. 我不知道你要找什么,但你要找的东西有可能在楼梯间那个放废品的橱柜里。

18.“Fair dos.”– Fair enough. 有道理。

19.“That’s proper lush.”– That’s quite nice. 太好了。

20.“… Innit.”– The last part of my sentence was especially important. 我说的最后一部分非常重要。

21.“Want to grab a quick drink?”– Want to drink until one of us passes out? 要不要喝酒喝到某人晕掉?


22.“That place is well posh.”– They charge over £3 a pint there. 这家店一品脱啤酒要£3!!!

23.“She’s off her head!”– She’s willing to pay over £3 a pint. 她愿意花£3买一品脱啤酒。

24.“That place is absolutely heaving.”– There’s at least a dozen people in here. 这里至少有12个人。

25.“How you keeping?” – What have you been up to since I saw you last? 自从我们上次见过之后,你都在忙些什么?

26.“How’s the missus?”– How’s your girlfriend doing? 你的女票怎么样?

27.“They’re from north Wales.”– They’re from somewhere north of the valleys. 他们来自山谷的北边。

31.“…like.”– I’m just adding an extra word to thissentence for the sake of adding an extra word to this sentence. 没什么,就是多说了一个字而已。

32.“He’s fuming.”– He’s angry. 他很生气。

33.“He’s tamping.”– He’s really fucking angry. 他特别特别生气。

34.“He’s raging.”– He’s really, really fucking angry. 他要气炸了。

35.“Heat it in the popty ping.”– Something literally no Welsh personhas ever said. Ever. 威尔士人不会说这句话的,永远不会。

36.“Ta’ra.”– Goodbye. 债见。
