We are recruiting a HEO to support the work of the busy China Team. The China market offers considerable potential for the UK health sector and this role will directly impact Healthcare UK’s ability to meet and exceed its targets.
The post-holder will need to develop a passion for working within a complex in-country landscape (on a political, sectoral and regional level) and work hard to engage with the myriad of health opportunities provided by a large and strategically crucial market for the UK.
The post-holder will be working closely and on a day-to-day basis with UKTI’s health and life sciences team based in China across a number of cities to deliver an ambitious programme of work.
At a time of transition, this role represents an exciting opportunity to take part in a new way of doing business - transforming how Healthcare UK, UKTI, and HMG operate and work together more effectively.
The role reports directly to the China Geographic Lead (G7) and the post holder will have autonomy over distinct projects and pieces of work.
The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery – in conjunction with colleagues in the British Embassy in Beijing and Consulates spread across major Chinese cities. The role involves a combination of policy, coordination, stakeholder and relationship management and event delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organising high-level government meetings, conferences and events in the UK and overseas. Working as part of the team the post holder will have responsibility for ensuring there are clear event objectives, delegate recruitment, and ensuring the event is executed seamlessly.
