Did you know, that Barring Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic, more Dominicans live in New York City than in any other city in the world? Over 41% of the 1.5 million people of Dominican descent living in the United State live in New York. Dominican-Americans such as Junot Diaz, Prince Royce, Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, and Alex Rodriguez, have made great contributions to the fields of art, literature, government, music, and sports in the United States.
