This program will be conducted in English with Chinese simultaneous interpretation.

Women, men, and children come to the United States from every continent in the world, dreaming of gaining job skills, education and simply, a better life. But many of them find that within days of arrival they are subjected to work with minimal to no pay, in poor conditions, lack of adequate housing and food, under threat and physical harm, and for some, exploited into sex and other abusive forms of work.

Join us at the Beijing American Center, where a former U.S. prosecutor and a diplomat will discuss how they sought justice on behalf of these resilient survivors and about China’s efforts to identify trafficking victims and rescue them from harm.

  This program is not suitable for children under 6.
