她与我们分享了她的开学故事。
I set out in Shanghai on 4th Jan, did my flight transfer in Doha on 5th Jan and eventually arrived at the Manchester airport on the same day. This is my first time to take a plane for so much time alone, I felt so excited that I even forgot the tiredness.
我在1月4日从上海启程，转机经由多哈于1月5日抵达曼彻斯特机场。这是我第一次独自一人飞行这么长时间，因为太激动，甚至忘记了旅途的劳顿。
When I arrived in Manchester, I felt that everything was new and fresh. I knew that the teachers from Sheffield IC were in the airport and I had to independently find them. It was really hard for me to find the right place, so I had to ask lots of people where that place was and to my delight, everyone was so friendly, helpful and was willing to give me suggestions.
抵达曼彻斯特后，一切对我来说都很新奇，我知道来自谢菲尔德国际学院的老师会在机场迎接我，但要独自一人在诺大的机场找到他们也实属不易，我一路都需要用英文问路，令我欣慰的是，每一个人都很友好、乐于助人，并且非常热情的给我建议。
Finally I found the teachers and some students also from China. Even though there was something wrong with my application of picking up, I eventually got on the couch from Manchester to Sheffield.
最终我找到了老师以及其他一些来自中国的学生。虽然自己的接机预定出了一些问题，我还是在老师的帮助下顺利乘上的从机场前往学校的大巴。
On my way to Century Square (my dormitory), I was shocked by a vast expanse of grass with some cute sheep on it. Also, when the couch went past some shops, I was indulged in the beautiful buildings with exotic styles, which made me feel like in a dream.
在前往宿舍的途中，我们沿途大片的草地迷人的田园风光所震惊，甚至还有可爱的小羊在草原上。同时也陶醉于异域风情的美丽建筑，仿佛置身梦境。
After successfully checking in, I started to clean up my studio. I felt very happy because it was a new one with fully equipped facilities such as a bathroom, a kitchen, a desk, some bookcases, as well as some supplies like beddings, pots and pans ……
登记入住后，我开始整理自己的房间，这是一座全新的宿舍楼，这令我十分开心，因为这里设施配备齐全，有浴室、厨房、书桌和书架，同时也有床品、水壶甚至连笔都贴心的准备好了！
In the first few days, I registered for my course and participated in a tour to the city center under the guide of the teachers. I loved the view here because of the British style buildings, clean streets, enthusiastic people and peaceful atmosphere.
在最初的几天里，我注册了我的课程，并参加了老师带领的城市观光。我喜欢这里的景色，英式建筑、干净的街道、热情的人们以及宁静的氛围。
What is worth mentioning is that I made friends with a pretty girl from Middle East. We introduced our own countries to each other, went out together and took selfies.
另外值得一提的是，我很快就和一个来自中东的漂亮女孩成为了好朋友，我们相互介绍自己的国家，一同进进出出，还一起拍自拍！
I tried the most typical dish in the UK------chips and Cod fish which were really nice.
我也尝试过了英国最著名的美食——鱼和薯条，还真挺好吃！
One of Sheffield’s features is that we need to climb up and down every day because it is a city built on 7 hills !
谢菲尔德的特点是这座城市建在7座小山坡之上，所以每天的出行都要上坡下坡。
We started our class on 9th Jan Monday and after a whole week, I have been familiar with our teachers, some classmates and the general contents of my courses. I think the education in the UK pays much attention to our own development and the teachers were all willing to help us with our study and mental health. Thus we have a PDP (Personal development planning) class and a Prog. Support class to make us know our study conditions better. In addition, ESUS (English Skills for University Study) helps us have command of some skills for learning in the UK. Besides, I have my professional course ’Business’.
1月9日正式开学，一周后，我已经和老师同学们都熟悉了，也了解了课程的大致内容。我发现英国的教育更注重个人的发展，老师关注我们的学习和精神健康，因此我们有一门PDP课程（个人发展计划）以及支持课程来帮助我们了解自己的学习情况。另外ESUS（为大学学习的英语技能）帮助我们获得在英国学习所必须的技能。另外我还有自己的专业课程“商科”。
Apart from the new and independent life here, I was also excited about the entertainments. Since Sheffield is a sports city, you can do various kinds of sports here such as play bowling and go skating.
除了新环境和独立生活，这里的课余生活也很让我兴奋，因为谢菲尔德是一座运动之城，你可以在这里做各种运动，例如保龄球、滑冰等。
