At 85 letters, it has been listed in the Guinness World Records as the longest name for a place.

Covering an area of 32 square miles, Lake Tekapo is the second-largest of three roughly parallel lakes running north–south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist spot in Queenstown.
