Overview

The Solutions Architect is responsible for architecting and designing, systems and sub-systems within a broadcast TV environment. Broadcaster can include traditional Pay TV DTH type operators, OTT providers or telecommunications providers. The Solutions Architect, must have experience of the broadcast head end, and CPE. The Solutions Architect is a customer facing role, which will interface with all aspects of our customer’s business. The Solutions Architect must be able travel, without restriction, and will spend a minimum of 50% of their time abroad on site with customers.

Responsibilities

• The Solutions Architect is responsible for working with customers to define their business requirements, business use cases, and architect and design the end to end system to meet these requirements

• This is an external facing role, where frequent interaction with our customers, and their technology vendors will be required

• The Solutions architect is expected to be creative in their thinking, and possess the skills, experience and abilities to convert business requirements and use cases, into deployable end to end systems

• This will include the identification and selection of third party vendors
  

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical degree
  

Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience in running RFQ’s, including technical and commercial requirements
  

• Extensive experience in customer facing roles, in the provision of technical systems and sub-systems design within the broadcast TV sector

• Extensive experience of working with an end to end Systems Integration team within the broadcast TV sector

• Extensive experience in CPE middleware design and integration

• Extensive experience in OTT systems design and integration

• Extensive experience of broadcast head end design and integration

• Extensive experience in working with operator’s to define their business requirements

• Extensive experience in working with operator’s to define their business use cases

• Excellent presentation skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Proven ability to build relationships at all levels, up to and including CxO, across all customer departments – commercial and technical

• Extensive experience in IP network architecture design and installation

• Proven track record in writing high quality technical specifications in English

• Proven experience in broadcast TV operating models
