发行于1997年的歌曲Butterfly Kisses是一首父亲写给女儿的歌。美国乡村歌手Bob Carlisle在女儿Brooke16岁生日前夕创作了这首感人至深的歌曲。歌曲从一个父亲的角度回忆了女儿成长的点滴：第一次养宠物，第一次做蛋糕，每天清晨的父女拥抱，每天睡前父女之间专属的“蝴蝶之吻”。在父亲眼里，女儿仿佛是在一眨眼间长大的。到了“一半女孩、一半女人”的年龄，女儿开始热衷于化妆打扮，也有了自己的空间，和父亲也不再像从前那般亲密。时间如风般在指尖溜走，当年有着一头卷发、绑着发带的小女孩终究要长大成人，结婚生子。不远的将来，在女儿的婚礼上，父亲将握着女儿的手把她带到一个值得托付终生的男人面前，女儿也许还会像小时候一样，在爸爸的脸上留下一个“蝴蝶之吻”。
这首细腻动人的Butterfly Kisses一经推出便成为热门歌曲，位居美国《公告牌》(Billboard)排行榜榜首，并在1998年获得了格莱美最佳乡村歌曲奖。这首歌还被Raybon Brothers等众多歌手翻唱过。直到现在，这首父亲写给女儿的歌仍然是许多美国人举行婚礼时必不可少的经典曲目。
