Texas is known as the “lone-star” state. The single star on the Texas flag is a proud symbol of Texan’s independence and grit. For 10 years in fact, Texas was an independent country! It is the second largest U.S. state, after California, produces the most oil of any U.S. state, can claim 4 U.S. Presidents, and has arguably, the best BBQ in the U.S. Like California, Texas is also one of the most diverse states with a population that is about 40% Latino. So, come learn about the fascinating history of the unique state of Texas, where “everything is bigger”.

Join us for a presentation on the huge and important state of Texas, Tuesday August 2nd, at our new location ： No. 55 An Jia Lou Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing (East Gate of the U.S. Embassy)!
