Are you considering a major in journalism?  Journalism plays an important role in American history and society. It is mentioned in the first article of the U.S. Constitution.  Is it right for you?  The core course for every journalism degree is news writing and reporting.  Can you write accurately and quickly?  Are you good with deadlines?  The five core principles of journalism are: truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartiality, humanity, and accountability.  There are 118 accredited journalism programs in the United States.  Start your search by checking out the whole list of options for accredited journalism programs on the Council for Higher Education Accreditation website: www.chea.org.
