About The Role

The Independent Coordinator will deliver an excellent service to all their residents, applicants and partners across a local area always having in mind their mission of “Living Longer, Living Better” and the principles of empowering their residents to engage with the Trust, maximising the opportunities available with new technology, giving them choice and ensuring value for money in all that they offer. 

 

Within this role you will be offering a high quality customer orientated service which delivers continuous improvement and high levels of customer satisfaction. You will ensure the creation of sustainable tenancies and other income generation by marketing schemes in and developing relationships across the wider community, managing applicants on the waiting lists, carrying out pre tenancy risk assessments, supporting new applicants with their move and signing up applicants and smoothing their transition into the scheme. 

 

In addition you will ensuring the ongoing sustainability of tenancies and empowering tenants and residents within the local area to engage with the Trust, maximise opportunities with new technologies to communicate with and support tenants and the health & wellbeing of their tenants is measurably improved. 



About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in a supportive environment with older and / or vulnerable people and working with partners and stakeholders including tenants across different types of tenure, agencies, the local community and local businesses. 

 

In addition you will have experience of working flexibly within a team environment, and of supervising staff including monitoring performance of contractors and / or staff. With excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, you will have the ability to work as part of the team with ability to travel to other schemes within an area. 

 

Strong IT skills ideally including experience of working with assistive technology, mobile technology and multi-media channel of communication are also required for this role, as is a flexible approach to new and alternative approaches to delivering customer service. 



Ideal Candidate

Ideally you will have knowledge of Housing management practices and working in a housing environment. Enthusiasm for working with assistive technology, mobile working and a multimedia approach to communication is also beneficial to the role. 

 

It would be ideal, although not essential, if the successful candidate covering the North Manchester area can communicate in Chinese.
