On August 31, 2017, the American Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China, alongside two of its members, Chengdu Angel Women’s and Children’s Hospital (Gaopan Branch) and AIDI Eye Hospital, organized AmCham white-collar worker’s sub-health seminar in China Overseas International Center. The keynote speakers were Senior Yoga Coach Yalan Deng from Angel Women’s and Children’s hospital and Bin Wei，the Director of Cataract Department of AIDI Eye Hospital. This seminar aimed at the health problems related with white-collar workers, and the two lecturers shared some useful health-care knowledge, skills as well as reasonable suggestions. 

There were around 40 representatives from AmCham members such as Dell, Global Doctor, Unilever and JLL. All of the attendees enjoyed the event and the atmosphere there were very lively. The guests interacted with the speakers actively. Besides, China Overseas International Center provided delicate food and drinks for the attendees, which make this event even more joyful.

In the first part, Ms Deng led all guests to do yoga exercises. The room rang with beautiful gentle music, and guests under the guidance of the teacher breathed slowly and relax muscles. Yoga eliminated their exhaustion after one day’s work, relieved their falling back pain due to sedentary and renewed their bodies.

Dr. Wei then explained how the eyes work, sharing the causes, symptoms, and treatments of myopia, tear, dry eye and eye strain. He called everybody to live a healthy lifestyle, and pay attention to eye health. During the tea break, Dr. Wei made eye examinations for the guests using the special equipment of AIDI Eye Hospital, Also, he answered the questions of each guest and gave suggestions on whether to use medicine or seek medical advice.
