论语、大学、中庸、孟子，此四书，是每一个志于学的中国人必读的书。想让您的孩子说一口字正腔圆的汉语吗？希望他们从小就有机会熟读人类文化的经典吗？想让他们成为温柔敦厚的谦谦君子吗？希望他们以后成为达则兼济天下，穷则独善其身的内心强大，不随着周围的物欲世界随波逐流的人吗？
通过两年的理论及实践准备，现秉承王财贵教授的“老实大量”读经理念，开办此读经学堂。为达到最佳教学效果，学堂和家长需有共同认识。
目标：通过大声咏读的办法，把大量经典熟记于心，中文发音纯正，中文认字能力迅速提升，增强汉语阅读及表达能力。
招生对象：5-12 岁学龄儿童，无需中文基础。
1、平时课余读经班：
时间：周一至周五，孩子上学前（针对kindergarden 下午班同学）和放学后（我会负责把孩子们从学校----Edgemont School接回来, 如果其它学校有需要会看时间酌情安排）。
具体安排：
提供健康snacks；
每天至少咏读中文经典1 个小时：从论语，大学，中庸开始；
根据情况提供学习写汉字，书法练习，中文字卡认字练习，介绍中国传统文化，阅读《吴姐姐讲历史故事》，做手工等。不会提供电视电脑等娱乐和游戏。
2、周末读经班：
时间：周日下午1:30-4:30 pm (可根据报名家长时间稍作调整）
具体安排：
老实大量读经两个半个小时：从论语，大学，中庸开始；
半个小时会安排其它学习：写汉字，书法练习，中文字卡认字练习，介绍中国传统文化，阅读《吴姐姐讲历史故事》，做手工等。

Calgary Classic Reading Club Before/After-School Program
Throughout this program, we will be teaching Chinese through the Traditional Method: reading classic Chinese books hundreds of times to memorize them. These classic books will include The Analects of Confucius, The Mencius, etc. This is the most efficient way to learn a language. That way, the children can learn perfect pronunciation, differentiate words and use them. We will also introduce some Chinese Culture, practice Chinese writing and do some crafts.
Chinese experience is not required.. They will learn lots of Chinese throughout this program. We will provide healthy snacks. We will not provide TV or video games.
We provide two different kinds of classes:
Weekdays before/after school: Monday to Friday before and after school care (We will read Chinese books 1 hour at least per day).
Weekends: Sundays 1:30 - 4:30 pm (This might change depending on the parent’s schedule), we will read Chinese books 2.5 hours at least.
