I'd like to send my warmest wishes to everyonearound the world celebrating Chinese New Year. As the celebrations get on theway, cities across the globe are lit up with fireworks and parades.

我向全世界庆祝春节的每个人致以最诚挚的祝福。在春节到来之际，全球很多城市点起烟花，举行游行庆祝活动。

This is a good moment to reflect onBritain'srelationship withChina.It's a relationship based on a deep and enduring ties between our twocountries. One part of this is of course economic. Last year I was delighted toleadBritain's largest evertrade delegation toChina.The Chinese economy is once again set to become the world's largest later thiscentury, a position it's held for 18 of last 20 centuries.

这是我们回顾英中两国关系的绝佳时刻。我们两国之间建立了深厚和长久的联系。其中一个当然是经济。去年我很荣幸率英国最大的贸易代表团访问中国。本世纪晚些时候，中国将再一次成为全球最大经济体，再次回到之前20个世纪里她保持了18个世纪的位置。

Britainmeanwhile is growing faster almost than any other country in the west and ismore open to Chinese investment than any other. That's why in the years tocome, I want our two countries to continue working closely together for themutual benefit of all our people.

同时英国几乎比西方其他任何国家都发展得更快，并且我们对中国的外来投资比其他国家更开放。这正是在新年来临之际我希望我们两国继续紧密合作，共赢互利的原因。

But our relationship goes much deeper than economics. It's great, for example,that so many Chinese students have the opportunity to come and study here inBritish university. And these celebrations are a reminder,too, of the richestvibrancy of Chinese culture here in theUK. And on this new year I want topay tribute to the incredible contribution that the British Chinese communitymakes to this country.

但是我们两国的深厚关系远不仅限于经济上。比如，很多中国学生有机会来到英国的大学学习，就是一个很好的例子。这些庆祝春节的活动也提醒着我们，在英国有如此丰富生动的中华文化。在此新年，我对在英华人群体为英国所作的杰出贡献表示敬意。

So let me once again wish you a happy new year and every possible success forthe next tweleve months. Xin Nian Kuai Le!
