Universitiesare seeing a quick rise in applicants from China and at the same time acceptancerates are decreasing, which makes it even more difficult for talented Chinesestudents to receive an acceptance letter from a top US university. Therefore,GreatChina International Education has launched the Elite Program to provide aplatform where Chinese students can access to professional application guidancefrom Academic Advisors.

Establishedin 1996, GreatChina International Education (GIE, aka GreatChina) is an AIRCcertified, ICEF recognized international education institution registered inthe U.S. and duly licensed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry ofPublic Security in China. We provide comprehensive services in study abroad,test preparation training, international education, cultural/educationalexchange, career planning, and investment immigration to Chinese students andfamilies.
Program Introduction:
The goal of the EliteProgram is to ethically and professionally guide students in the early planning,exploration, and development of their personal interests, knowledge, and skillsin order to become prepared both for the admissions process and for rigorousstudy at an American college or university.
The services providedby program staff include creating a customized education plan and goals,analyzing student strengths and weaknesses, working with students to developtheir writing skills, facilitating workshops to enhance student knowledge ofuniversity requirements and expectations, building confidence in interview skillsand guiding students to volunteer and participate in extracurricular activitiesthat will enhance their critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Allservices will be conducted in English.

Responsibilities:
Work with students to develop andunderstand university admission and application strategies and goals based onin-depth assessments
Customize education plans for eachstudent
Provide guidance and feedback to helpstudents improve application essays and other application materials such asextracurricular activity lists
Lead essay workshops to improve writingskills and strategies
Conduct practice interviews and providefeedback to help build self confidence
Assist in staff sharing sessions to stayupdated on current admissions policies
Participate in relevant educationalactivities and events, such as public lectures, educational fairs andconferences, etc.
Other related responsibilities as requested
Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or above,open to all majors with preferences in English, history, politics, philosophy,sociology, business and engineering
Preference for candidates with priorexperience and/or knowledge in top US college admission policies, academicprograms, and/or application procedures
Strong ethics, excellent planning, andability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational, communicationand writing skills
Strongpassion for and commitment to education
