The Role

The Design Engineer will be responsible for producing design solutions for in-car multimedia systems. You will be responsible for producing high quality, high value engineering solutions to customer's and internal design requirements.

The Successful Candidate Must Have

• A minimum of two years' experience producing engineering solutions post education 
  

• The ability to travel, including overseas, to support customer meetings, prototype builds, launch activities, etc. 
  

• The ability to work as an engineering team member in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines 
  

• Excellent time management skills 
  

• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  

• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy 

• Good 3D CAD modelling skills (CATIA and / or Solidworks) 
  

• Good knowledge of industry drawing standards 
  

• Good knowledge of FMEA, DFMA, GD&T 
  

• Experience in designing thermoplastic injection moulded parts, metal pressings, die casting 
  

• Experience in time compression techniques, rapid prototyping technology

Other

• Two or more years' automotive industry experience would be an advantage 
  

• Experience in electrical / electronic engineering is desirable 
  

• Languages - Mandarin or German would be advantageous (not at all essential)
