The Role

The Senior Partnerships Officer – China will make a broad contribution as a member of the International Office to the development of the University’s international partnerships strategy in China.

Responsibilities

The job-holder will work closely with senior staff members across the University’s faculties and in coordination with the Shanghai representative office to plan and deliver activities leading to meet fee-paying student enrolment targets through partnerships in China.

He / she will also be responsible for the organisation of inward and outward visits, including academic and senior management members of staff, as well as Chinese visiting academics and representatives from government bodies, local ministries of education and key international stakeholders.

Requirements

The post holder will possess knowledge and understanding of the British and Chinese sector as well as excellent communication, negotiation, organisational skills, initiative and professionalism to ensure that the most efficient and effective systems are in place to support achieving the international marketing strategy.

 

Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is a fundamental requirement for this job. Please note that this role will also involve frequent international travel (including working over the weekends) in periods of about two weeks at the time.
