Owning to expansion within CH2M’s Environmental and Nuclear Business Group within Europe and the Middle East, North Africa regions we are currently recruiting. 

We are seeking pioneering Construction Directors / Managers to join our growing Civil Nuclear Delivery Team and be involved in leading nuclear projects including construction of new nuclear power plants.

As a Construction Director / Manager, you will have a passion for working with our clients to safely delivery complex and challenging programmes to time, budget and quality.

This opportunity is likely to be focused around supporting our client’s construction needs by using your knowledge and expertise to shape the construction process and project, rather than necessarily being ‘on-site’ managing the actual construction works.

You will be working on a client site alongside our clients on major capital investment programmes in the Civil Nuclear sector. Given the geographic location of many of these projects, it is likely that you will be working away from your home location or similar during the week. 

-   Analyse, develop and support the timely and cost effective delivery of the construction related aspects client projects meeting business and environmental objectives

-   Support client project delivery through appropriate planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting of performance

-   Support identification of slippage / risk and remedial or mitigating actions whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and management procedures

-   Ensure clarity of identification, definition and specification of programmes and projects ensuring alignment with client business needs and context

-   Champion the application of appropriate construction strategies and commercial vehicles, which will secure a successful business outcome

-   Ensure appropriate services to the project are delivered by construction organisations engaged on the project including ECP and other related contractors as appropriate

-   Support / lead cross functional teams within the client that are engaged in construction

-   Ensure and support compliance regimes with all construction requirements including those particularly related to nuclear safety including quality surveillance and construction activities

-   Promote and foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

-   Share knowledge and support client organisation develop construction management capabilities

-   Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject

-   Membership of relevant, recognised professional body

-   Significant relevant achievements with strong, high-level experience / expertise within the Civil Nuclear space

-   Civil nuclear plant and power plant construction experience

-   Fluent English with excellent written / verbal communication skills

-   Other languages such as French, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic would be considered advantageous

-   Either currently cleared to SC level or able to gain it (CH2M can sponsor)

-   Driving Licence
