富布赖特学者讲座：中美少数民族语言翻译政策比较 /Translation Policies towards Minority Languages in China and the US: A Comparison

翻译是跨语言交流必不可少的工具。在许多国家，由于存在不同族群和语言，需要关注主要族群语言和少数族群语言的互动，以拟定相关针对少数族群语言的翻译政策来促进更好处理更大层面的问题。
富布赖特学友，北京航空航天大学外国语学院副院长钱多秀副教授将对比中国和美国的针对少数族群语言的翻译政策，并提供一些观察与思考。
Translation is indispensable in inter-lingual communication. In a country with multiple ethnic groups and multiple languages, it is important that we pay attention to the interaction between the so-called ‘major’ and ‘minor’ languages and the people speaking them. Correspondingly, translation policies regarding minority languages should be made and effectively implemented in order to better deal with issues beyond language.
Qian Duoxiu, Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar (2014-2015) and Associate Dean of School of Foreign Languages at Beijing Aeronautics and Astronautics University, will compare the translation policies towards minority languages in China and in the US and provide some observations and suggestions.
讲者简介： 钱多秀副教授，北京航空航天大学外国语学院副院长，香港中文大学翻译学博士。研究兴趣包括翻译研究，翻译技术，语料库翻译研究及语言教学。 2014-2015年度中美富布赖特项目研究学者，在美国卡内基梅隆大学英文系访学。
现任中国语料库语言学研究会秘书处负责人， Journal of Translation Technology 国际编委，香港中文大学翻译系硕士项目校外评审，北京大学语言信息工程系兼职硕士生导师，江西理工大学外语外贸学院兼职教授，外语教学与研究出版社特约编审，教育部学位中心评审专家。 2013年，所著《计算机辅助翻译》（外语教学与研究出版社，2011）获北京市2011-2013年高等教育精品教材称号。曾翻译出版《实用主义：一些旧思想方法的新名称》一书 （ Pragmatism: A New Name for Some Old Ways of Thinking by William James ， 外语教学与研究出版社， 2011)，另有数十万字各种文体材料中英文翻译经验。
