墨尔本悉尼大比拼 Who is the No.1?

作为澳大利亚最重要的两座城市，悉尼和墨尔本，每年吸引着无数留学生和游客。那么，问题来了，到底是悉尼好还是墨尔本好呢？哪座城市更适合咱们中国人的生活习惯呢？就跟着无忧小雅哥&悉尼雅思姐一起来看看吧。

In the case of each city’s climate, the stereotypes are true. Sydney has, on average, 107 clear days a year, compared with Melbourne’s reasonably abysmal 46 days. The trade-off for Sydney is more rain, with twice the amount of annual rainfall than Melbourne – a phenomenon evident over the past week with extreme weather bringing up to 30mm of rain in half an hour to some areas.
不得不说，这个印象完全正确有木有！悉尼，一年平均有107个晴天，而可怜的墨尔本只有短短46天。（想要在大夏天穿羽绒服吗？来墨尔本吧！自带BGM：我在南方的艳阳里大学纷飞….）但相应的，Sydney更多雨哦，年降雨量几乎是墨尔本的2倍，在极端天气下，某些地区半个小时能下30mm的雨水。（墨尔本：这对我来说也不是问题好嘛~才30mm而已，哼唧）

Melbourne’s iconic trams trundle down city streets and an extensive train and bus network is also in place. However, Sydney is home to one of the most scenic forms of public transport – the ferry.
墨尔本的标志是啥？当然滚动在城市街道上的电车啦~同时，墨尔本的火车和公交系统也是不错哒（你是在开玩笑嘛….）但是，悉尼有最适合看风景的公共交通哦~轮渡！ 光想想坐在ferry上远眺歌剧院，都觉得是美事一桩了呢~
Surprisingly, more Melburnians drive to work than Sydney-siders, who are more likely than their southern counterparts to walk to work. An aversion to driving in Sydney could be thanks to its horrendous traffic congestion, which was last year named the seventh worst in the western world.
让人万万没想到的是，墨尔本开车去上班的人数竟然比悉尼多。其中的原因嘛….一来，悉尼南部的人可以走路去上班。二来，嗯….也可能是因为悉尼的交通太堵了，去年，悉尼的交通可是号称世界第七糟糕的。
Coffee
咖啡
A small but incredibly crucial factor in determining a city’s prestige, coffee prices in Melbourne’s cafe-crazy culture are noticeably higher than Sydney’s. The average cost of a coffee in Melbourne is $3.43, compared to $3.34 in Sydney.
城市的“逼格”从何而来？咖啡可是非常重要的“装逼利器”哦。墨尔本疯狂的咖啡文化不必多说，氛围远超悉尼。但墨尔本的咖啡显然要贵一些，均价为3.43刀，而悉尼的只要3.34刀（据说还会涨价…ORZ）。
You get what you pay for in Melbourne, however, with the city recently claiming the coveted title of “World’s Best Coffee” in a survey conducted by travel site Booking.com. Sydney’s morning brews are more affordable, but Melbourne’s quality reigns.
墨尔本的咖啡贵确实是贵了一些，但物有所值。根据booking的调查问卷，这座城市可是有“世界最好咖啡”的名号哦~悉尼的“晨酿”价格更亲民，但墨尔本的品质棒棒哒！
Culture
文化氛围
Because Melbourne hasn’t had the natural assets of Sydney, it had to work harder to develop the cultural infrastructure. As a result, Melbourne is recognized for its indoor culture, including unique shopping destinations, internationally-recognized restaurants like Vue de Monde and Attica.
墨尔本的自然景观比不上悉尼的丰富，因此致力于文化氛围的营造也是情有可原。墨尔本许多独一无二的各种小店可是很有特色的，国际公认的餐厅比如Vue de Monde和Attica等大家也可以去尝尝。（悉尼：我也有很多很棒的餐厅好不好…委屈脸）
However, Sydney is the more multicultural of the pair. Only 58.1 per cent of Sydney’s populations were born in Australia, while 62.6 per cent of Melbournians were born in Australia.
但是从人口的角度上来说，悉尼可是多元得很~只有58.1%的悉尼人口出生在澳大利亚，墨尔本可是又62.6%呢。
