Our Team
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our wind analyst team in London. Specifically, we seek an entry-level analyst to cover the wind energy markets working with our lead European wind analysts and the global wind energy team.
We'll Trust You To
Research, analyse and write about the latest developments in the onshore and offshore wind energy markets in Europe, the Middle East & Africa (This might include policy, technology, long-term forecasts, industry economics, key player strategies, industry trends, and other relevant topics)
Produce regular market forecasts and research reports, consulting projects, and other pieces of analysis
Gather and manage key market and financial data on the following: supply and demand of wind turbines, component parts, wind project pipelines, pricing information
Respond to client requests related to your analysis
Support the business development team in client meetings; represent Bloomberg New Energy Finance and speak at conferences and events
Participate and help organize a number of key company events, including networking events and the BNEF Summits
Based in London, you are likely to have experience as an intern or analyst within an energy, consulting, investment, financial services organization or similar
You Need To Be Able To
Pick up concepts quickly, identify the most important findings from large volumes of information, and communicate the key messages effectively
You Need To Have / To Be
Strong graduate degree in a policy, scientific, engineering, economics or humanities discipline as well as a demonstrated interest in the clean energy sector
Exceptional communication skills: writing (for research reports) and speaking (for presentations at conferences, to clients, the candidate must be able to write clearly and concisely in English)
Good analytical skills and ability to assimilate new and highly technical information
Strong quantitative skills
Have a high work rate, be highly organised, able to prioritise and work on parallel tasks, and have rigorous attention to detail
Well-versed in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Able and willing to work hard, take initiative and have fun
We'd Love To See
Relevant experience in the wind energy industry is highly desirable
Ability to speak other European languages and / or Mandarin would be an advantage
Knowledge of economics would be an advantage
