Description

The role is to work within the UK Private Bank (CS UK Ltd) Business Risk Management team in order to assist in identification, assessing, monitoring and reporting of operational risks within CS UK Ltd. The incumbent will see close interaction with the Front Office Management of Credit Suisse UK Ltd as well as within Business Risk Management with especial focus on the Russian, RND and UHNWI Front Office teams.

 

The role is allocated within a dynamic team working on a variety of challenges with a mix of proactive operational risk management and metrics / KRI reporting.

Processes, Procedures & Improvement

• Working with the business risk managers you will look to identify potential risks, particularly with regard to people and private banking processes including but not limited to: suitability and appropriateness, financial crime, cross-border, employee conduct, client communications, and other operational and regulatory risks

• Work to implement appropriate mitigation measures for identified risks

• Monitoring of Front Office activity at Team Leader and Relationship Manager level with a specific focus on the review of client communication and documentation in either Cantonese / Mandarin OR Russian.

• Ad hoc deep dive desk or process reviews as required and working with other local or global risk control functions

• Monthly KRI and MI collation and monitoring to Team Leader and or CS UK Ltd Senior Management

Qualifications

• Language requirements: Fluent speaking and writing skills in either Russian or Mandarin is essential

• Financial services experience is also essential, with a preference for Private Banking knowledge

• Understanding of Risks and Controls from an Operations perspective
