Job Purpose

The ISG is actively seeking a dynamic, energetic and flexible trainer with a strong sales and instructional design background to join our global team in executing our blended learning strategy. This exciting opening offers the successful candidate the opportunity to travel internationally, delivering face-to-face, entry level training programs to our global teams as well as design online, media rich courses and content to be delivered through our newly acquired learning management system. Whilst English is spoken in all our offices, for most it is not the primary language and therefore the ability to successfully communicate ideas and concepts in Plain English, both in the classroom and through designed content is vital



Key Responsibilities

  • Assume the role of lead trainer and instructional designer on all new hire induction training programs with particular emphasis on new sales recruits

  • Support the Learning Development Manager and our internal partners to deliver sales training and coaching through our Sales Academy program in various countries

  • Provide a program of ongoing learner support, personal development planning and sales coaching for newly appointed sales representatives in their first 6-9 months of tenure

  • Using Adobe Presenter and other content creation tools to design online, digital and video-based training modules using existing video content and developing new material to complement face-to-face programs

  • Deliver all aspects of basic core skills training including sales, customer service, marketing, systems and processes to teams located in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, India, Japan, China and USA

  • Develop and refine existing learning development tools, such as the ‘Sales-Playbook’ to enable local coaches and mentors to reinforce training outcomes and strengthen the adoption of more successful selling practices

  • Develop user-guides and relevant content to support self-directed learning

  • Evaluate all training programs and propose improvements that improve their effectiveness on an ongoing basis through gathering and analysing regular feedback

  • Work closely with the Learning Development Manager to develop and refine the learning development strategy



Experience / Qualifications

This position requires a self-starter comfortable with regular international travel, who can demonstrate:

  • Proven track record of improving results through their training and coaching efforts (essential)

  • Minimum of three years face-to-face training experience in a face-paced sales environment (essential) catering to an international learner audience(desirable)

  • Experience of all aspects of the instructional design process based onthe ADDIE model (essential) 

  • Knowledge of CRM or systems training (essential), with a working knowledge of Salesforce.com (desirable)

  • Experience of designing online courses and training modules (essential)

  • Experience of the exhibition industry and / or international trade shows (desirable)

  • Some direct experience of selling is a strong advantage (desirable)

  • Knowledge of foreign language(s) (particularly Mandarin) is also a strong advantage (desirable)
