申请本科课程的“个人陈述”主要阐述自己的价值观、人生观或世界观；取得过哪些奖励和个人成就，个人有什么比较突出的品质和能力，最好和专业相关；再说一下自己是如何对申请的专业产生兴趣，可以说得较泛。

举个栗子：

I am a person keen on challenges.

Law will provide me with the kind of constant challenge I have always craved, while helping me to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills.

Also my concern and curiosity about society and its people inspired me to pursue this subject for my higher education, as I believe Law plays an essential role in the changing nature of society.

2. 申请研究生

自我介绍：

申请研究生时写的自我介绍需要和你所要申请的专业相关。

比如你要申请的是会计专业，着重写一下你的教育背景、你个人对会计的兴趣、你有什么适合会计这个专业的个人品质等等，如果有重大成就也应该写上，让对方觉得你适合就读这个专业。

举个栗子：

My education so far is characterized by indisputable excellence.

During the four years of my undergraduate studies, my GPA was consistently the highest in my class of 135 students.

My graduation was rated “Outstanding”, the highest rating possible. An in-depth analysis of the ethical standards of Chinese auditors, the paper was later published in a quality professional journal as a seminal study of a rarely studied topic in China.

如果你是转专业，则要着重强调你对要申请的专业的兴趣，本科课程里有哪些课程与要申请的专业相关，或者有哪些相关工作经验。

举个栗子：

Not having an academic background in Mass Communication has always been a great regret to me and this regret intensifies as I look to the future of China’s social and economic development.

As an opening China embraces more and more international events such as the international Formula I car racing competition, to capture the global attention, highly qualified senior PR professionals will have an limitless arena to exercise their talents.

For all the practical experiences I have accumulated, I am truly in need of a systematic academic training in Public Relations so that I can learn the most advanced knowledge in the field and inform my future PR practices with theoretical guidelines. 

社会实践：

任何与专业相关的社会实践经验都要写上。

以教育专业为例，你可以写一下你在哪些教育机构工作或实习过；你在学校参与过什么相关项目，学到了什么，获得了什么评价。

举个栗子：

After withdrawing from York, I decided to take the opportunity to extend my experience in schools on a voluntary basis at a local Special School (Beacon Hill Special School, Ipswich).

This resulted in my being offered a full-time paid position as a Special Support Assistant. I have found myself inspired by the challenge of encouraging these young people to realise their potential and this has further cemented my decision to become a teacher.

发展目标：

不同于本科学习，研究生的“个人陈述”还需要写到你对未来的发展规划，比如毕业后想从事什么职业，要具体清晰，展现自己独到的见解。

举个栗子：

I have made up my mind to devote my life to the research and teaching of Economics.

With the knowledge I have learned at Beijing University and the practical experiences I have gained in recent years, I am confident that I can meet the requirements for acceptance. My goal is to become a professor teaching economics in a Chinese university after I complete my graduate studies.

无论是申请本科还是研究生课程，“个人陈述”的最后一部分都是阐明自己为什么想要申请这个大学的这个专业（如XX大学护理专业实力很强、学习气氛很好等），表明入读该校的这个专业会对你的职业生涯有很大的帮助。

举个栗子：

The University of Melbourne is well known for its unique position as a bridge between east and west.

It is well known for its excellence in the communication field, with an accomplished faculty and modern research resources.

With students from various nations, it provides its students with a good chance to learn from different cultures. It is an ideal place for communication studies. If I am accepted, I believe I can make quick progress in communication studies in general, and in advertising in particular.

注意：

• “个人陈述”不是考试作文，不要套用模版。写上真实的自己和专业相关的一面，逻辑要严谨；

• 使用的词汇丰富一些，不要出现语法错误；

• 个人陈述一般限定在1-2页A4纸内，约500-1000字；不同学校的要求不同。
