#US-General Election - The Role of Debates

Presidential debates are now a mainstay of the American presidential campaign process. Although their impact is difficult to quantify, they clearly play an important role in the U.S. election process. Thousands of journalists, many from international media, cover each debate and make the debates a focal point not only for people in the United States, but also for people all over the world who are watching the election.
