Role Summary
• Be the Search engine domain expert within the team.
• Deliver high quality work to agreed deadlines.
• Maintain and support the Search system and ensure no loss of services or downtime. This will require some out of hours/weekend work.
• Deliver tangible improvements to the Search ranking model.
• Provide CJK expertise to the team.
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Maintain and support the existing Elasticsearch clusters and FAST ESP Search system
• Build out Search for new projects like MiFID II
• Maintain and improve the Search ranking model
• Search engine expert providing training, guidance and best practices to others in the team and company.
Key Relationships:
• Search Product manager
• Content Product managers
• Operations and DevOps team
• Customer Support
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Search Engine expert and must have extensive knowledge of both Elasticsearch and FAST ESP.
• In depth knowledge of tuning Search engine rank models
• CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) - Fluent in either one of these languages.
• Strong Core Java and C# .NET skills
• Experience of Web services – SOAP and REST API
• Experience of financial services terminology and understanding of a broad range of financial instruments
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience of TR financial products and data models.
• Good mathematical skills
• Experience of agile methodologies
• Experience of Build tools like Jenkins & Puppet
• Experience of Window Server, Linux and some Solaris knowledge would be beneficial.
• Experience of Machine learning algorithms
