2017年4月21日下午，经过一系列精心的准备，国际部第四届“指环王”杯英文演讲比赛总决赛隆重举行。学生们自制的暖场视频、主持人热情洋溢的开场介绍，将所有人迅速带入到比赛紧张的氛围之中。长春市实验中学张彤校长、国际部主任张毛毛，国际部全体教师作为嘉宾出席，部分学生家长以及国际部十年级和十一年级的同学们到场观赛。

The forth English speech competition “Lord of the Ring” was held by International Division after a series of preparation in the afternoon on April 21^st, 2017. The warm videos made by students and the passionate introduction from the hosts quickly brought the audience into the competitive atmosphere. Principal Zhang, Director May and all the stuff and students of the International Division attended this activity.

    本次比赛共有七名选手进入决赛，他们分别是来自10年级A班的王源、段博誉、韩一赫、王兆琦，10年级B班的曹颖心、刘健怡和11年级B班的张誉潇，比赛评委由国际部专业外教团队组成。本次比赛，选手们根据自己抽签顺序依次进行演讲，并且抽签结果由学生会纪检部的王昭彤、李讯威公证有效。在选手演讲前，学生会的信息技术部播放了他们制作的每位选手的比赛过程回顾。看到自己从初赛一路闯到决赛所付出的点点滴滴，选手们感慨万分；看到选手们的一步步成长，很多在场同学深受感染，从他们身上得到了前进的力量。七位选手的演讲内容充实、质量上佳，同时在指导老师Bella，Gail，Nico的悉心指导下，他们在舞台表现方面更是进步明显，选手们信心满满，用国际部特有的激情感染着每一个观众。

There are 7 students competing in the final. They are Peeta, Benny, Astrid and Ceasar from G10A; Christina, Rina from G10B, Rachel from G11B. The judges are the foreign teachers of the International Division. All the contestants drew lots to decide their order in the competition, and the result was confirmed by Novia and Dereck from the discipline inspection department. Before the competition, the information technology department showed the review of competitors’ contest videos. The competitors had many sorts of emotions in their mind and gained much power when they saw what they had done from the preliminary contest to the final. Under the the guidance of Nico, Bella ,Gail, the 7 students performed excellently not only in their content of the speech but also in their stage performance. They were all full of confidence and tried to influence the audiences with their enthusiasm.  

在比赛过程中，来自音乐社团的徐可和张竞戈为大家演唱了《Good time》，她们用歌声为每一位选手加油鼓劲。

During the break time of the contest, Coco and Jane from the music group sang  to encourage the contestants.

最后，经过激烈的角逐，来自11年级的张誉潇同学获得了最后的冠军，获得了象征王者的指环；来自十年级A班的韩一赫同学一分之差位居第二名；十年级A班的段博誉同学获得第三名；曹颖心，刘健怡，王兆琦，王源荣获优胜奖。赛后，我们有幸的邀请到了长春市实验中学张彤校长进行总结，她表达了对国际部的肯定和赞许，同时鼓励大家要努力去为自己的未来而学习，希望市实验中学国际部的每一个学生可以继续保持年轻人独有的热情和活力，把市实验精神一直带到世界各地。

Finally, Rachel from grade 11 B won the championship and gained “ring of the lord”; Astrid from 10A was the second one; the third one was Benny from 10A ; Christina, Rina, Ceasar and Peeta gained the outstanding prize. At the end of the competition, Principal Zhang Tong of Changchun Experimental High School summarized that she praised the International Division and encouraged students to work hard for their future. She also hoped that every student in the International Division could keep energetic and enthusiastic and took the school spirit to all over the world. 

本次指环王大赛圆满落幕，但正如选手们在赛后所说，比赛虽然结束了，但在准备过程中，自己从指导老师那里获得的经验和能力会让自己更加强大。其中更加感谢创始人Sophie老师，和精心细致策划两届将此指环王活动打造成精品活动的Angie老师，国际部所有同仁一致通过将此项有意义的活动记入国际部精品活动集并以安琪老师的名字命名，国际部也将此惯例坚持下去，将未来的精品活动用策划人的名字命名，传承下去，相信未来我们师生更加温暖前行。

This English speech competition was held successfully. But as the players said although the contest ended, the experiences they got from their guide teachers made them stronger. In particular we should thank Sophie，who was the founder of this speech competition, and Angie, who designed and improved these two years competition. All the staff in the International Division agreed that adding this activity to the classic activities of the International Division and naming it after Angie. We would hold it as a convention which is named the activity after its founder. We firmly believed that teachers and students would keep going with warmth.
