唐文嘉的插画很容易打动女生，可爱生动的人物形象、温暖活泼的色彩、清新梦幻的自然风景……

哪怕是粗粗浏览她的一幅幅插画，都会觉得这是一个美好的女孩，仿佛生活在爱丽丝漫游仙境里，让人想听一首甜甜的歌，和她一起待在那个美好世界里永远都不出来。

目前是Maryland Institute College of Art(MICA)插画专业的本科生(90后的妹子一枚)。虽然本科还未毕业，Wenjia却已经给许多重量级的杂志绘过插画了。由于年轻的关系，她的风格还在成熟的过程中，所以我们很难去下定义。她自己也承认自己依然处于风格形成时期。

”I feel like I am still in the progress of developing my personal style. Some of my old illustration works were line work based, but now, I am more into color blocks and how to make digital works more organic by using different ps brushes and applying textures.“

她的作品中有着很深的东方式的绘画技巧，人物形态简单直接却又不失灵气；擅长使用大面积的色块，多用中性色或以基本色辅以中性色。这种绘画风格的发展很大程度是因为Wenjia颇为喜欢浮世绘，而喜欢的艺术家也偏向简单清新的风格。

”Tatsuro Kiuchi, Emiliano Ponzi, Karolis Strautniekas, Lisk Feng, Jun Cen inspired me a lot. I am also really interested in old Japanese woodblock prints (Ukiyo-e), and one of my favorite Ukiyo-e artists is Utagawa Kuniyoshi.“

和大多数艺术家一样，Wenjia的灵感源自于她周遭的各种生活与自然。而作为生为90后，长在数字时代的她，也分享了自己很感激科技给自己的创作带来了颇多的便利，可以随时随地地画，并用各种后期技术让插画变得更精致漂亮。

“

”Technology makes my work come to life. For most of the time, I would use my tablet and computer to sketch and draw. It’s super-efficient and useful. I mainly use Photoshop for my illustration works, which has good brush collection and many downloadable contents to make the images stylize and personal.“

作为一名自由插画师，寻找客户并不容易。由于Wenjia现在仍然是学生F1状态，她在就读期间的客户更是多来自中国，不能多选些美国客户。不过Wenjia也有着自己的打算——找个靠谱的插画师经理人，以及从自己喜欢的插画师客户名单中找机会。

” I always keep my eyes on client list from some of my favorite illustrators. I then go to bookstores or the Internet to look up information from these publications. After I think my style is suitable, I will contact art directors from specific publications, and send them my portfolio by email.“

MICA的插画专业提倡学生多在实践中创新，Wenjia也正计划着在毕业之前尝试一下版画、丝网印刷与连环画，她分享道：

”I actually never done traditional prints before and I really want to try either woodblock of screen-printing before I graduate. It would be really cool if I can make illustrations by this traditional medium.

I had experience once in a class project when we were asking to do a 2 page sequential illustration, but final work didn’t turn out to be really successful. So I feel like that is something that I need to work on. “
