继昨天Gippsland3.3级地震后，今天早上6：05，Pakenham和Berwick附近又发生了3.2级的地震。

东南区的Clayton,Dandenong,Box Hill,Narre Warren, Mooroolbank, Rowville,Belgrave South, Wantrina South 和Mentone等多个郊区均收到地震报告。

两天之内维州发生两起地震事件实属罕见，相关专家称，这两起地震并无关联。这是50年以来，Berwick 和Pakenham发生的第八次地震。

不过专家说，澳洲这样的小地震每两周一次，Gippsland也是一年5次，不会有大地震来临。

Houses shake, lattes spill: Melbourne reacts to 3.2 magnitude earthquake

The tremor was felt across Melbourne's outer-east, including at Berwick, 43km from the CBD. (9NEWS)

Melbourne has been rattled by a small 3.2 magnitude earthquake this morning, frightening residents but also leading to mocking on social media.

The tremor hit around 6:05am (AEDT) was felt across the region, including at Berwick, Scoresby, Glen Waverley, Cockatoo and Pakenham.

The quake was detected at a depth of 11km, Geoscience Australia said.

"I was woken by a loud bang, the house [was] shaking," Pakenham resident Sharon Weir told 9NEWS.

"I actually thought the house was falling down.

"If this was a 3.2 tremor with the epicentre in Cockatoo, I don't think I want to feel a bigger tremor."

The SES has said there have been no reports of damage.

As it became apparent the tremor was relatively minor, Twitter lit up with Melburnians offering their take on the earthquake.
