Aqualand (London) Ltd is a company specialising in property sales and development i.e buying a property, developing it through renovation, then either selling it on for a profit or renting it out to tenants. Aqualand purchase land, schools, shopping centres, flats, residential property and commercial property for the purpose of investment. Aqualand have a budget of £100-£200 million. Aqualand continue to be actively involved in acquisition of medium to large scale project sites at key strategic locations. 

Job Description

The General Manager holds responsibility to lead and direct the management and staff, achieving optimum standards of service and value to clients within profit objectives and in a manner consistent with the company’s philosophy and policies.

Main Responsibilities

• Conducting market research, feasibility studies, project management and locating investment projects and project negotiation

• Managing the development and overseeing any construction work to make sure it is delivered to deadline in accordance with customer expectations and the law

• Analyse economic data, plans formulates and directs at strategic level the operation of the company

• Leading the junior staff ensuring implementation of the company’s policy and assembling development teams including architects, engineers, marketers, agents, builders etc

• Prepares reports, effective strategies, financial forecasts and contracts with business partners

• Selects company’s senior staff and resources

• Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints

• Initiates corrective action

Who We’re Looking For

• 9 years plus experience in Management role

• Experience in conducting market research, project management, locating investment projects and project negotiation

• Knowledge on compiling competitor analysis for companies offering similar services, comparing their services and pricing structures, aiding in the decision-making process to pursue further business opportunities

• Willingness to travel overseas at short notice for business purposes

• The abilities to work under pressures coupled with excellent communication skills

• Fluent in Mandarin is essential to this role to communicate with customers

• Confidence to liaise with senior level clients with complex requirements

• Experience in drafting proposals; recommending subsequent changes to Director; leading teams and ensuring that all work, logistics and services are delivered on time, to budget and exceeds the clients’ satisfaction
