JKS Restaurants is seeking a Business Development Manager for its award-winning restaurants and growing business, specifically for its Taiwanese restaurant, BAO.

BAO opened its doors in early 2015 in Soho. Since then BAO have gone on to be one of the most talked about restaurants in London and receive glowing reviews, including five stars from AA Gill (Sunday Times) and 9.5/10 from Lisa Markwell (The Independent).

BAO serves creative Asian food in a casual, fast-paced and informal setting. BAO places an emphasis on ingredients and techniques, making everything from scratch, from steaming our own bread daily to infusing oils and fermenting local produce. Our ingredients are focused onquality and showcase producers not only in UK but also in Taiwan.

The Main Duties And Responsibilities Of The Job

• Responsible for the Social Media Campaigns for the Chinese Consumer base, including Weibo, Facebook and WeChat. Day to day management of these channels as well as a clear forecast in the development of the campaign

• Create and execute effective direct marketing via the Company’s large Chinese database, maintaining mailing lists and flyer distribution directed specifically to the Chinese community

• Analyse the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing detailed monthly reports on activities and contribution to revenue

• Liaising with PR Agency

Skills, Qualifications And Experience Required

• Prior experience in the hospitality sector

• Fluent in both Mandarin and English

• Able to work within a team and be a team player

• A clear understanding of Taiwanese food and ingredients (the role also includes liaising with Chinese suppliers, knowledge of ingredients to research and establishing supply links with Taiwan)

• Translating Skills from Chinese Simplified to English and vice versa

• Good Excel skills are essential
