童话讲明大道理【What Would a World Without Money Be Like?】

In the olden days, 

people need to trade things.


Why? 


Because “money” was not invented yet. 

Here is a story before money was created:


Long ago, a man called Max found a little girl on the street. 

很久以前,有个叫Max的人在大街上遇到了一个小女孩。




He asked her :“Why are you here? Where are your parents?!”

Max问她:“你在这里做什么?你的父母呢?!”


The little girl answered: ”They no like me more!” 

小女孩回答说:“他们喜欢我再不!”


Max: “You mean your parents don’t want you anymore?!” 

Max:“你是说,你的父母不要你了?!”


Little girl: “Yes.”

小女孩:“是的。”


Max: “What is your name?”

Max:“你叫什么名字?”


Little girl: “Me name Grace! Me name Grace!” 

小女孩:“我Grace!我Grace!”


Max: “Okay Grace, follow me to your new home.”

Max:“好的Grace,跟我去你的新家吧。”


When they got home, Max asked Grace: “What do you want?”

到家后,Max问Grace:“你想要什么?”


Grace: “Me want teddy bear!” 

Grace:“我泰迪要!”





     


So Max grabbed a bag of rice and went to the Great Market.

于是,Max拿上一袋米,来到“大市场”。




After 40 minutes, he finally found someone who had a teddy bear. 

过了40分钟,他终于找到了一个有泰迪熊的人。


But the guy said he wanted a television. 

但是那个人说,他想要一台电视机。




So Max went to a woman who had a television, but she wanted flowers.

所以,Max找到了一个有电视机的女士,但她却想要花。




So Max went to a man who had flowers, and he wanted rice. Max gave him the rice, and he gave Max the flowers. 

接着,Max找到了一个有花的男人,并且他也想要大米。Max用大米交换了花。


Max went back to the woman with television and gave her the flowers and Max got the TV.

然后,Max回到那个有电视的女士那里,把花给了她,并拿到了电视。


Now, Max went to the man with the teddy bear and told him: “Now I have a television, you can give me the teddy bear now.” 

现在,Max回到了拥有泰迪熊的男人那里;对他说,“我有电视了,你把泰迪熊给我吧。”



But sadly, the man said he want a bag of rice now. 

但遗憾的是,那个男人现在想要的,却是一袋大米。
