JOB TITLE: Account Manager

JOB LOCATION: Christchurch

DEPARTMENT: Foodsolutions

Main Purpose:

To achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales KPIs in the assigned salesterritory. This will be achieved by using face to face selling in both End Userand Distributor channels - gaining new and developing existing business for theUnilever Food Solutions portfolio of products within the Commercial(Hotel/Restaurant, Caterer, Clubs and Pubs) and Social (healthcare, Educationand other institutions) customer channel and allocated Distributor Partners.

Main Accountabilities:

PULL. (OPERATOR- END USER ACCOUNTS): (66% Responsibility of the Role.)
· Maximise sales of Unilever FoodSolutions products to current end users and potential key end user accounts toensure achievement of divisional and personal target in line with company salespolicies and strategies.
· Liase with and provide regularfeedback to management, reporting on information relating to trade activity,trends and competition. Responsible for implementing sales strategies, tacticsand any tailored activity by management team.
· Attend and participate in cyclicalsales meetings in order to:
· Attend all Foodservice sales trainingcourses and development programmes and put learning’s into practice.
· Responsible for the correct andtimely use of the mobile selling device (IPad) – capturing Call details andObjectives, Pantry Checks, Sampling, Competitor Information and DistributorTransfer Orders.
· Participate and operate in tradeshows as required from time to time.


PUSH: (DISTRIBUTOR ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT) (34% Responsibilityof the role.)
· Develop, manage and implementbusiness development strategies, regular client business reviews, and overalldistributor management in defined Distributor business partners as requiredthese will include Strategic Partners Bidvest, Trents and partner accounts,Countrywide, and Independents.
· Maximise all product opportunities.Demonstrate and gain acceptance of new products and marketing activity thatarise from time to time.
· Where appropriate develop and managecustomised solutions and concepts from the Unilever Foodsolutions Product range(including pricing and new recipe/concept development).
· Provide financial and non-financialinformation to facilitate timely and accurate decision making on businessoperation.
· Undertake necessary activity withcustomers and distributors including Distributor Sales Rep (DSR) activation andtraining, trade shows, demonstrations (Masterclasses), product launch eventsetc., with a view to increase free trade and reach.
· Manage Distributor Programs orPromotions (National and/or local) with agreed partners to assist leveragingbusiness within those accounts. Utilise distributor promotions in a manner thatwill help drive growth and or ranging of our products.

Experience:
- Proven Sales experience within a FMCG/Foodservice company.
