“想去医院看病”怎么说？记得以前老师和教科书上教的是“go to hospital”，其实，这是句“中国式”英语！
这句英语在语法和表述上并没有错，只是一个使用习惯的问题。它基本都是中国人在用，而外国人通常不这么说。
对于看病这件事，老外其实更喜欢说“看医生”~

当然，医生并非只有“doctor”这一种方式表述。根据专业不同，医护类的职业有以下这10种常见的：
GP / General Practitioner（全科医生）
A 'General Practitioner' is the name we give to a general family doctor who you can go and see at a centre near your house. The health centre is called a 'practice'.
Specialist / Consultant（专家顾问）
A 'specialist' is a doctor who knows many things about one special area - (e.g. eyes).
Surgeon（外科医生）
A 'surgeon' is a special doctor who does operations on people in a hospital.
Theatre nurse（手术室护士）
A 'theatre nurse' is a nurse who helps with operations in 'an operating theatre'.
Dentist（牙科医生）
A 'dentist' is a doctor who looks at and works on your teeth.
Dental hygienist（牙科卫生员）
A 'dental hygienist' is a person who cleans people's teeth and teaches them how to clean their teeth properly.
Chiropodist（手足科大夫）
A 'chiropodist' is a doctor who looks after your feet.
Optician（验光师）
An 'optician' is a doctor who specialises in eyes. You go to an optician when you need glasses or contact lenses.
Paramedic（护理人员）
A 'paramedic' is a person who arrives at the place where an accident happened and can give medical treatment to people who need it.
Vet / Vetenarian（兽医）
A 'vet' is a doctor for animals.
“I’m taking the dog to the vet, he won’t eat anything.”

其实，中国人爱说“去医院”，外国人爱说“看医生”，这之间不仅是文化差异，还有医疗体系间的差异。
外国人的医患关系比较融洽，而且医疗体系健全。除了大医院外，他们的诊所医疗也很可靠，不少人还有专门负责自己的医生。
这样的环境，自然觉得他们生病了该去找自己的医生，而非去医院“碰运气”！
